Dr. Navinder Sawhney, M.D.  has been an academic faculty member at the University of California San Diego for 5 years.  He specializes in arrhythmia management and is sub-specialty board certified in cardiology and in cardiac electrophysiology.  He is active in clinic research and has published numerous manuscripts and text book chapters on arrhythmia management.  

He has lead investigations on the optimal approach to catheter based ablation of atrial fibrillation and the optimal programming for cardiac resynchronization therapy and pacemaker devices.  His clinical practice involves the management of atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardias, ventricular tachycardia, pacemakers, defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices.  He uses the most current techniques including the use of the Hansen Sensei robotic catheter ablation system for atrial fibrillation ablation.
