Dr. Jeanne M. Salcetti is a Board–Certified Periodontist and has practiced in Colorado Springs since 1995. Originally, a dental hygienist, she completed her B.S degree from the University of Maryland in 1980. Once that was completed, she joined the UM faculty for six years, first in the Department of Dental Hygiene and later in the Department of Periodontics. While on the faculty she received her M.S in Adult and Continuing Education from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland in 1986. She then pursued her D.D.S. and graduated from the University of Maryland in 1991. After graduating Magna Cum Laude and completing a one–year GPR program in York, Penn., Dr. Jeanne M. Salcetti attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her 3 year periodontics residency where she received her certificate in periodontics and an M.S. degree. In 2000 she became Board Certified with The American Board of Periodontology.Dr. Jeanne Salcetti was The President for the Colorado Dental Association (CDA) from June 2007- June 2008, as well as the First Female President to be elected in Colorado for the CDA. Dr. Salcetti was also appointed by Colorado Governor, Bill Ritter to serve as the sole Dentist representative to the Collaborative Scopes of Care Advisory Committee in 2008.She has also been recently appointed by the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) to represent the Academy to the American Dental Political Action Committee (ADPAC). Dr. Salcetti was an appointed member of the oversight committee in Continuing Education with the AAP from 2005–Present. From 2003–2005 she was a member for the Dental Hygiene Task Force AAP Oversight Committee, Co–Chairman of Council on New DDS–CDA, as well as being the President of the Rocky Mountain Society of Periodontists.Dr. Salcetti has been awarded as one of the “Colorado Springs top 25 Dynamic Business Women” by the Business Journal in Colorado Springs in 2002. In addition, she is the Co–founder for The Colorado Springs Interdisciplinary (Multi–Specialists) Study Club.Her memberships include: American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Pierre Fauchard Academy, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, and Academy of Osseointegration.Dr. Salcetti is a skier, runner, and loves spending time with her children. She also loves living in Colorado with the exceptional mountains at her doorstep. During the colder months she is usually on the mountain skiing, and in the warmer months she can be found running the gorgeous trails that Colorado has to offer.
